Melanie Lazarow is a South African born Naarm artist who works with paint, soft sculpture, installation and photography. Melanie appreciates the tradition breaking constructivists and cubists and in her latest work she uses their insights particularly the red wedge by El Lizitsky as a symbolic means to shatter the oppression of war, exploitation and climate disaster. See her latest exhibition at the Harlow Gallery Sydney Rd Brunswick Opening 15 April which examined these matters ansd more formal fears like being a woman walking at night. Her latest work is a dreamlike reconstruction of the Mallacoota forests and beaches before the climate disaster fires. https://www.redgallery.com.au/exhibitions/melanie-lazarow-falling-in-love-again-no-planet-b
