I am an award winning experienced artist, committed to social justice, and the environment.
On graduation from a Master in Contemporary Art my work was awarded an exhibition with financial help.
An inspiring residency in Barcelona Jiwar, Spain, gave me experience in the very contemporary world of Europe.
My work is held in private collections in Australia and overseas.
A director st Australian multi award winning architecture firm said of my current work a series of watercolour, acrylic, and gouache paintings on plywood from photos in memory oc Mallacoota, the part of Australia, so destroyed by fire:
“I love how the work is a beautifully executed landscape within a definite tradition which SEEMS to be a realistic representation of reality but isn’t! Furthermore, it SEEMS conservative in a certain Australian way but then affirms that this is not the current situation! While it might appear nostalgic, I’m not even sure that this is the case. Perhaps it simply states a fact? Finally, I like how the “naming” of it undermines any romantic interpretation.
Very clever and very heart felt.
